This position is highly visible and requires frequent interaction with all staff levels, including the Division’s Senior Management and Group IT teams.

Responsibilities include:

• Interface with Project Management and Functional Managers to derive project plan tasks, dependencies, estimates, and risks for SAP initiatives
• Keeps abreast of latest technology directly and indirectly related to SAP applications and tools. Promotes knowledge sharing across the Group and within the company
• Determines hardware needs and provides oversight and direction regarding SAP landscape buildouts
• Interfaces with SAP project and support teams to provide technical SAP expertise for issue resolution to maintain efficient operations
• Prepares and writes request for proposals; evaluates vendor offering to determine if contract, hardware, or software meets quality and cost expectations. Prepares cost benefit analysis to select optimal solution

Education and/or Experience

• BS degree preferably in Information Systems or Computer Science
• US Citizenship required for Security Clearance
• Knowledge of SAP in Aerospace and Defense
• 10 years SAP Solution experience specifically in Systems Design with a minimum of 2 full SAP project lifecycles
• Exposure to a variety of SAP releases, SAP Release 4.6 as a minimum
• Ability to manage and lead and facilitate design meetings in order to extract key business and technical design criteria
• Working knowledge of application development life cycle and solid understanding of Project Management fundamentals and principles
• Candidate must have strong problem solving skills, be self-directed and capable of working with minimal supervision
• Must have a strong, demonstrated commitment to customer service and be committed to pro-active review of processes and procedures to continually enhance service quality, service delivery and support.
