  • Systems Engineer - Applications Support and Maintenance Lead level 3 - TS/SCI


Northrop Grumman Information Systems Sector's Integrated Intelligence business unit is seeking an Applications Support and Maintenance Lead who will report to the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Lead for the program and will be responsible for supervising, leading, managing all installation, service, and systems support tasks transition efforts for a large scale Federal program supporting the intelligence community. This program supports a portfolio of vital enterprise and mission applications central to the warfighter and various segments of the intelligence community. Position is located in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Responsibilities:

* Implement comprehensive, detailed project plans and processes for transitioning support services to an ITIL-aligned service framework with no interruption of service.

* Interface closely with program management and technical staffs to ensure effective communications, verification of service management touch-points, and superior service delivery

* Ability to multi-task and manage multiple team efforts concurrently to ensure seamless response to service and support requirements

* Interface with customer and program management team on regular basis

* Develop and present numerous presentations, reports, analyses and work statements

* Develop and implement performance management team goals and ensure that team meets/exceeds timeline milestones for all components of program

* Serve as an advocate of US Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) requirements

* Reports application or system project progress, issues, continuous improvement, and next steps to O&M Lead

* Responsible for consistent program alignment of task orders to ITIL service management framework through management and oversight of support activities including: Service Validation and Testing / Lab Support Systems Support and Installation Tier 3 Problem Management System / Subsystem Troubleshooting and Preventative Maintenance Configuration and Asset Management Performance and Service Level Management Continuous Service Improvement

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

A Bachelor's and 5 years of related experience, Master's and 3 years, and 9 years of experience may be considered in lieu degree. Must possess an Active/Current Top Secret/SCI. Individual should be highly motivated self starter with exceptional leadership, team building/management skills, strong problem-solving and analytical skills, time management skills and attention to detail. Successful and proven track record of managing within major, large-scale, complex technology environments within budget and under tight deadlines. Candidate must be able to manage multiple groups working in tandem in diverse locations. Must have knowledge of industry best practices for standards, specifications and processes for IT and physical security, desktop systems, infrastructures, networks, communications systems and related requirements for security monitoring of these systems. Requires the ability to effectively communicate and delegate requirements and operational instructions to contract personnel. Must be able to interface well with senior program management and the customer. Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills also required. Able to work closely with customers and cooperatively with a cross-functional team and ensure delivery on time and within budget.
