Application Management Services: Provide complete operations services for application management, custom development, and business process outsourcing for clients. Develop the post implementation go-live support environment, construct the transition plan from the project team to the support team, and support and maintain the client applications and technology infrastructure
Deloitte Consulting LLP is currently seeking an Software Engineer-Java professional to help support a large Healthcare client out of Kansas City, KS. This professional will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
Software Engineers are responsible for writing code to meet user interface specifications and are instrumental in the development and support of Clients's leading edge information systems.
Responsibilities also include defining user needs, providing input to functional design, testing, and troubleshooting. Projects can range from functionality enhancements for one user to broad solutions that transform and optimize the operations of an entire department.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science related field or equivalent experience
- Experience with one or more preferred programming languages, but not limited to: C#, C++, VC++, Java, Visual Basic, HTML, CSS, XML, CCL, SQL, JavaScript, Ruby on Rails, Objective C, or iOS
- Possess decision making skills as well as the ability to deal with ambiguity
- Strong analytic and problem solving abilities
- Demonstrates the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize work to meet adapting deadlines
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work overtime and irregular hours when needed
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Java, Visual Basic, HTML, CSS, XML, CCL, SQL, JavaScript
- Ability to learn and apply new technical skills and concepts quickly
- Experience with PeopleSoft or any custom development, Oracle or SQL Server Database
Relocation to Kansas City, MO is required.
