Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Systems Administrator for a contract assignment with one of our premier technology clients in Raleigh, NC.
REQUIREMENTS:  


Strong oral and written communication skills are essential.

Strong aptitude for learning new technologies.

A strong understanding of basic to complex concepts related to computer architecture, data structures and programming practices.

Knowledge of the following technologies: Fibre Channel, SCSI, LAN switching, Ethernet (10/100, Gigabit, 10 Gigabit), IP subnetting and allocation, Network Management, Cisco hardware, software, and product lines (i.e. Catalyst, Nexus, Unified Computing System (UCS)), Network security (ACLs, basic FWs, device protection).

Experience with server operating systems Linux (RHEL and UBUNTU), Windows (2003 and 2008), and Unix.

Experience working with virtualization software like VMWare ESX and/or HyperV. And experience working with virtualization hardware like: Solaris Zones and/or IBM LPARS.

Experience working with Blade servers (HP, IBM, Client)

Experience with Storage, particularly SAN.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:  


5 to 7 years of experience is preferred.

A Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, a Master Degree, or a PhD; or equivalent experience is required.

Demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, moderately complex technical tasks.
