Position - Manager / Product Test, Quality and ISO 9001

Location - Champaign, IL

Job Description :

Manager Product Test, Quality and ISO 9001 will directly manage a group of 8 engineers who
are responsible for the test, qualification and release of all products in the clients product
line. This includes all aspects of test including compliance, regulatory, feature set and
manufacturing test. This position includes the management of the Champaign Quality System, and
product documentation.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Directly manage and grow the engineering staff to ensure all projects are completed on time
and with a high level of quality using milestone driven, time estimated project plans.

Develop the engineering staff through coaching, mentoring and leading by example.

Work closely with Engineering and Project/Product management to obtain specifications and
requirements for products to develop test suites.

Lead Process improvements used to create, test and launch projects and ensuring proper
communication between different functions.

Manage the Champaign quality system. Track and lead the internal audits and support the
external audits and qualification for ISO 9001 compliance.

Collaborate with different departments across the organization (both local and global) to
promote common test tool usage and reuse.

Work with Development groups, Product Management and Marketing in the creation of customer
documentation.

Accept the responsibility for the quality of the product and be the customer advocate.

Create and own the release procedures for all products sold or distributed.

Support and drive enhancements and internal training for the ECO process.

QUALIFICATIONS :

Bachelor degree in engineering (CS, CE or EE), Masters preferred.

Experience with Databases (postgres or others), Selenium, open source test tools, Lua,
C++ and other scripting languages desirable.

5 to 10 years of experience in product testing in system test (stress, load and performance)
and unit testing.

1-3 years of leading a cross functional team in multiple disciplines.

Familiarity with ISO 9001 QMS, regulatory and compliance standards and knowledge of product
development lifecycle.

A drive for continuous improvement both personally and for the organization.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
