Daily Responsibilities
Support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Air Traffic Organization (ATO) Line of Business with the development and execution of business systems and processes related to the management and development of mission critical FAA programs. These mission critical programs require ongoing maintenance, upkeep and enhancements through transition, integration, and implementation of the National Airspace System (NAS) modernization and transition to the Next Generation (NextGen) Air Traffic System. In order to achieve the FAA Flight Plan goals and organizational missions, professional and technical support services will be required to support the existing NAS initiatives as well as future NAS initiatives. These services will be provided under the En Route Technical Assistance Support Services (ETASS) contract. ETASS will provide a broad set of technical and professional services to support operations in the EnRoute and Oceanic Service Unit as well as Technical Operations Services, System Operations Services and the Office of Technical Training.
This position works with limited supervision and involves support for FAA management up to the executive level to capture concepts, plans, processes, alternatives, schedules, and issues in text, original graphical and video formats for briefings, reports, brochures, web sites, press kits, congressional reports, talking points and other technical documents. Specific skills include, but are not limited to, high-level proficiency with technical writing, editing, graphic design, presentation support, multimedia, and web support.
