POSITION OVERVIEW

The SAP ERP Analyst – MM/PP/APO analyzes and defines SAP functions, business processes, and user needs and performs functional configuration and maintenance tasks for the organization’s SAP systems according to operational and business needs. This position gathers, validates and translates business requirements into cohesive, integrated designs and software development specifications. This position writes and executes test scenarios and scripts and ensures risks are mitigated or eliminated in partnership with the Security and Controls team. This position considers integration of designs within and across the overall design solution. This position communicates within and across Configuration teams, software Development teams and the Enterprise Architecture team to meet business requirements. This position delivers quality solutions that meet both business and functional requirements. This position develops best-practice business knowledge and support the business integration into an SAP solution.

Position Title: SAP ERP Analyst – MM/PP/APO

Reports To: VP of Information Technology

RESPONSIBILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Lead and facilitate analysis of business requirements and processes including meeting with decision-makers, systems owners, developers, and end users to define requirements and identify and resolve systems solutions
• Translate conceptual user requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers/project team and executive management
• Guide business users and IS team members on SAP functionality and configuration
• Manage and provide coaching to more junior SAP ERP Analysts team members
• Identify, design, and implement SAP enabled solution to drive greater business efficiency
• Perform system configuration within the SAP modules
• Gather requirements for new development object and write Functional Specifications
• Play a leadership role in Agile solution teams including business and IS personnel to configure and develop SAP solutions
• Support modules within SAP, including custom and delivered programs
• Support troubleshooting inbound and outbound interfaces
• Support the development of training content for SAP business users
• Provide functional support to users of SAP modules as needed
• Design, document, and execute thorough test scenarios for SAP changes
• Establish time requirements for assignment completion and perform assignment with accurate results in the estimated time frame.
• Support Portfolio and Project Management processes, including estimating SAP project work effort

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES; AND RELATED POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• At least a 4 year college degree
• At least 3 years of experience working in product manufacturing companies
• At least 5 years of experience working in an SAP Analyst-type capacity or performing similar job responsibilities
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in working with SAP modules involved with a manufacturing organization's supply chain
• Significant hands-on experience implementing SAP solutions included in a manufacturing organization’s supply chain; specifically MM and PP
• 1 to 2 years experience with SAP APO; DP and SNP
• Strong knowledge of how to configure and apply SAP software solutions to solve business requirements
• Strong communication skills, both written and spoken
• Customer service orientation
