SUMMARY:

We are currently looking to add a Lead Developer to our Development Center team in Chicago. This person will be responsible for building a strong team of developers, product owners, and quality engineers that will work out of our Chicago office. The Development Center builds and maintains custom applications for our clients, so the technologies and environments are varied, although typically Microsoft focused. Our team follows Agile (Scrum), so this person must be open to working in a fast-paced environment.
 
This is a position that offers a lot of day-to-day variety and is a great way to work on a high performing team using the latest technologies.  Projects on this team have included building several high profile websites, mobile applications, web and desktop applications.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Integrate with the sales team to consult with customers about software system design.
• Assist in building a talented team of software engineers, product owners, and quality engineers to support project workload.
• Complete full lifecycle application development including requirement gathering, design, development, testing, implementation, and performance tuning.
• Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
• Design, develop, and modify software applications according to client requirements while maintaining strong documentation.
• Transfer knowledge to members of client’s team and act as an expert, value-added resource.
• Attend quarterly staff meetings and professional development planning sessions as required.
• Contribute to technical user groups and blogs as desired.
• Complete knowledge sharing, training and mentoring of fellow Centare team members.

 
QUALIFICATIONS:

• 4 - 10 years experience as a software engineer
• Strong knowledge of ASP.Net MVC, ASP.Net Web Forms, C#, HTML, JavaScript
• Good understanding of the Microsoft technical stack
• Visual Studio, SQL Server
• Strong Object Oriented Design and Agile software development experience is preferred
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with clients
