Adecco Engineering and Technical, a division of the world leader in the recruitment of engineering and information technology professionals, has an immediate opening for a seasoned Project Manager with Public Safety Systems experience for a 12 month Contract opportunity with a leading university in New York City. This role will be the key interface for the implementation of a safety systems for the US and worldwide.
The Project Manager will provide full life cycle project management of assigned projects pertaining to public safety systems, including global access control, intrusion detection, and video surveillance. The Project Manager will work closely with client's Public Safety division to align technical and business change management projects with the University's strategy and requirements. The Project Manager will work within the PMO to ensure compliance with global PMO policies and procedures throughout the project life cycle.
Specific Responsibilities:
Deliver large-scale Electronic Security System projects, including day-to-day operational aspects and major milestones
Serve as interface between users and technical staff while developing/maintaining strong customer and stakeholder buy-in
Prepare assessment and needs-analysis reports, specifications, and commissioning plans
Create and review master project plan that captures interdependency among several functional project plans
Convene and facilitate internal and client facing project status meetings
Track issues and drive to resolution by engaging appropriate stakeholders and SMEs
Identify risks and develop contingency/mitigation plans
Establish and maintain processes to manage scope and scope change requests
Serve as main point of contact for the client and PMO regarding schedule, budget, and day-to-day issues
Maintain all project documentation throughout the project lifecycle
Communicate and manage client feedback and approvals for deliverables
Develop project estimates and justification for approval by executive sponsors
Specific Requirements:
8 years of experience in project delivery, preferably in a nonprofit or higher education environment
3+ years of experience and/or valid related certification with Lenel OnGuard or other similar package.
Experience with Genetech video surveillance or similar system preferred
Experience coordinating migration of local access control systems into enterprise architecture
High-level understanding of database, network, and server infrastructure concepts
Experience working with offshore and/or geographically distributed project teams and resources
Outstanding communication and facilitation skills
4 years of experience leading projects with multiple workstreams in a PMO environment
Broad experience working with, negotiating with and managing performance of external vendors.
Experience with Linux, Windows, VMWare, and/or MS SQL preferred.
Educational Requirements:
PMP certification or equivalent certification/experience
Bachelor's degree or Master's Degree or equivalent experience preferred
CPP, PSP or CISSP Certification preferred
