Job Title:          Web Development Manager

Supervisor:      Vice President

Summary Statement:

Under the general direction of the Vice President, Web Development manager is responsible for overall technical decisions. This involves broad and technical leadership in the areas of planning, designing, implementing, scheduling, coordinating, and tracking and status reporting. Responsibilities include management of entire technical team and possible consultant and outside vendors.

 

Essential Job Functions:

Percent of Time           Tasks

45%     Manage division’s development project

  • Maintain divisions development roadmap
  • Make divisions important technical decisions comply with company’s technical and business goals.
  • Act as project representative internally and externally.
  • Responsible for estimation and achievable scheduling for development with relevant groups
  • Manage issues and risks associated with divisions development project
  • Commit the release schedule and deliverable quality.
  • Strong Relationship with Project Manager

25%     Manage and supervise technical staff

  • Provide management for supervised developers in professional manner
  • Encourage developers to improve their technical and process skill
  • Educate managers and technical leads to run project with less support

10%     Process development

  • Establish suitable divisions development process manner
  • Implement development process between *ACMG/Soft G DMI relevant parties.
  • Improvement development process with latest process method

10%     Develop technical collaboration among Yamaha groups

  • Keep good relationship and communicate effectively with a wide variety of Internal Yamaha staff
  • Propose good solutions to senior management and relevant staff if necessary

10%     Continue personal professional development in areas such as application design

and development and supervisory skills, via self-training, investigation and

conferences.

 

 

Qualifications/Competencies - Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

 

BA or BS in Computer Information Sciences or equivalent work experience

 

Required Skills/ Knowledge:

Advanced knowledge and experience managing application development using development tools, servers and technologies needed for professional e-commerce environments such as:

  • Project Management (Scheduling, Resource Planning)
  • PHP
  • Object oriented design, programming
  • Relational Database (Postgres)
  • UNIX environment
  • XML
  • Presentation Technologies
  • Technical requirement
  • Multiple latest mobile platforms/browsers
    • Apple iOS, iTunes for iOS App service, Android
  • Latest HTML/CSS(HTML5/CSS3)
  • Multiple latest PC OS/browsers
    • Microsoft, Apple, Linux
  • Agile/Scrum method

Experience in complex systems design:

  • n-tiered architecture

Abilities:

Maintain yourself professional and proactive

  • Ability to lead the team to success
  • Ability to give positive influence to the subordinates
