Our client seeks an Onsite Support Tech in the Atlanta, GA area. The Technician will provide Dedicated Onsite Support service on a scheduled basis for Unix, Intel and OS/400 System Administrators, SAN storage administrators, TSM storage administrators and others as applicable.

The Tech will assist the Administrator (SA) in support of the hands and eyes request. The Tech will receive technical directions and instructions from the SA over the phone. Server Builds.


Primary Responsibilities:
Server Builds. The Technician will assist the Administrator (SA) in support of the hands and eyes request. The Tech will receive technical directions and instructions from the SA over the phone. Windows on InType of task the Tech may be asked to perform are: problem determination including verification of status indicators, Hardware replacement/fix, cabling installation (Network, SAN, KVM, power) tape handling, escorting hardware service personnel, trouble shooting operating system technical issues, installation, and discontinuance of server components (may include unpacking and packing hardware), loading of CDs, installing images, and other technical assistance as required. The Tech will be providing service on Buyers behalf.

Qualifications:*
The candidate will need to have operating system, hardware, and network knowledge. Server hardware platforms may consist of the following: Windows on Intel (Any vendor), P series, HP Unix, Sun Solaris, Linux on Intel and Linux on P series servers, and OS/400.
