Sr. .Net / SQL Server -  6 month contract


Job Summary:

Sr. App Dev will be involved in all phases of the software dev life cycle including analysis, design, testing and implementation. Individual will be expected to produce tangible results, perform well with limited guidance, work on multiple projects concurrently & adapt quickly in a fast moving environment. Client is seeking someone with a passion for working with a team to support a large/ growing business.

Note from the manager---Looking Senior resources with a minimum of 5 yrs production dev and deployment experience in asp.net, C#, Sql Server DB development such as; triggers, stored procedures, joints, queries. Front and backend dev. They also do web enabled handheld device development.
This person will not only be a coder, but also a tester, deployment, etc…do it all.
Small team environment, but desire someone who can take tasks and projects and run with them, needing little oversight.  Seeking someone familiar with code review, design review, someone who can respect standards, mature professional adults, who can gather requirements, turn it into design specs, codes, dev test plans, implement, then review with the team to see what could have been done better.



Qualifications:
Bachelors degree plus 6 years of relevant IT experience
At least 5 years of .NET experience using Visual Studio, C#, and ASP.NET
Database design using SQL Server and advanced SQL skills
Hands-on experience with the entire system development life cycle.
Knowledge of the following preferred; not required:
* Web services
* Multi-threading
* .NET 3.5 (including WCF)
* XML
* ASP.NET MVC
* Windows Operating System
* Understanding of various network protocols (FTP, TCP/IP, etc)
* SSIS and SSRS
* System architecture design
Candidate must be highly self-directed and motivated to work on complex projects with minimal guidance.
Experience hitting timelines, managing code quality and delivering on time.
Candidate must possess above average communication skills, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
