Volt's Client in Seattle, WA is currently looking for a Level 2 Quality Assurance Analyst. In this role you will be required to adhere to and promote quality assurance processes, practices, methods and controls in support of application and system requirement, development and test activities throughout software development and sustainment lifecycles.
Job Responsibilities:
Performs moderate to complex system and problem analysis.
Recommends and proposes quality improvements.
Under general supervision, performs moderate to complex system and problem analysis associated with applications software development and test management activities encompassing project, release, and sustainment efforts.
Supports quality assurance test requirements gathering, functional specifications and designs ensuring that information systems, products and services meet organization standards and end-user business requirements.
Creates and organizes test plans, creates test scenarios, cases and scripts.
Recommends and proposes quality improvements to requirements, development, and test procedures and supports the development and implementation of processes and tools.
Ensures that requirements and design details are accurately reflected and traced.
As directed, performs software application and system testing activities and accurate executions.
Creates test cases, communicates results of testing and validates testing.
Provides quality assurance support throughout the software development lifecycle.
Participates in the test planning, design and implementation phases.
Maintains a repository for defects and issues creating an accurate audit trail for analysis.
Provides status and recommendations on meeting entrance and exit acceptance criteria and production rollout readiness.
Participates in data, environment and configuration requirements with Business, Functional and Technical Analysts, as well as the Development and Test teams.
This is an estimated 4 month contingent/temporary position through Volt Workforce Solutions which is located in Redmond, Washington. Requirements:
Quality Assurance Analyst - Level 2 Qualifications:
Must Have 3 Years of Work Experience in the Following:
Software requirements, development or testing with creating and executing quality assurance test plans, scenarios, cases, checklists and scripts.
Software requirements, development, and testing activities with multiple, simultaneous quality assurance efforts, and a track record as a contributor with providing quality assurance support in an analyst capacity, including tools development and usage.
Demonstrated collaboration and interaction on Project teams.
Programming languages and script development.
Demonstrated test management processes and technical skills, including an understanding of manual and automated test execution and performance related tools.
Demonstrated knowledge using version control and defect tracking methods, including an understanding of associated tools.
Knowledge of project management skills, processes and related tools.
Knowledge of Application Software Development Life Cycle concepts, lean and agile Best Practices, environment and configuration management, as well as test management methodologies and practices.
Ability to develop applicable test plans, scenarios, cases and scripts.
Technical Systems knowledge.
Soft Skills:
Organization and planning skills.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
Good attention to detail.
Analytical and problem solving abilities.
Ability to handle numerous concurrent tasks under time constraints.
