Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

Perform product design, bug verification, release testing, and beta support projects which may require research and analysis; may assist in performing on-site client work; acquire and utilize expertise to provide technical training to clients and team members.

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform product design, system analysis, and programming activities which may require some research.

Perform bug verification, release testing, and beta support for assigned products.  Research problems discovered by QA or product support and develop solutions to problems.

Perform maintenance and enhancement functions for existing product modules.

Prepare program documentation for product components.

Research and understand the marketing requirements for  a product, including target environment, performance criteria and competitive issues.

Participate in the development, enhancement, and maintenance processes within the assigned workgroup or subset of the workgroup.

Report status of assigned tasks to assigned project leader or manager. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Four year College Degree with major in Computer Science or equivalent experience

1-3 years of professional programming experience required.  Must have strong Java, .NET, PHP and SQL skills.  Ruby and Scala experience is a plus.

Strong knowledge of programming languages to include Java, .NET, PHP, SQL, Ruby, Scala, etc.; basic software development methodologies, design and implementation; development process, including specification, documentation and quality.
