 Job Description

Ab Initio ETL Developer will be focused on building out the next generation of global financial market data and trade repository systems to support our client’s front office trading, middle office processes and back office risk, finance and compliance reporting.   Our developers work as a part of our financial data technology consulting practice focusing on helping our global clients build out strategic reference/transactional data platforms in a fast-paced environment.  Our developers will be working on high profile projects with both business analysts and prospective application managers in order to gather requirements, perform implementations and guide production rollouts while creating highly optimized batch & real-time applications and ensuring the overall success of their programs.

Requirements:

• ●         Candidate must possess solid understanding of data warehousing dimensional design patterns and fundamentals and has to demonstrate experience in leveraging various Ab Initio components to develop complex batch and continuous graphs.  Expertise in Unix & SQL is required.
• ●         3-5 years of  hands –on application development experience using Ab Initio is required
• ●         Candidate must be able to work with senior and junior business analysts to translate their functional requirements into mature applications to production environments into order support intra-day client trading requirements.
• ●         Candidate will work with L1 & L2 support teams to define operational processes and procedures
• ●         Ensures development adheres to performance optimization, interoperability standards and requirements, and compliance with client IT governance policies.
• ●         Acts as liaison to clients on highly technical and complex requests and serves as a technical advisor to other junior team members.   Provide input, support and review estimates
• ●         Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or Computer Science.  Masters Degrees in computer science or computer engineering is a plus.  Experience in the capital markets and banking industries is a plus. Oracle background is a plus.
• ●         Knowledge of SQL, MS Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Work, Bloomberg and Reuters data, other vendor data knowledge a plus.

•  Experience in advanced Ab Initio technologies including Metadata Hub, Application Configuration Environment (ACE), Data Profiler a plus.
