Data Systems Analysts is looking for a Sr. Software Engineer in Colorado Springs, CO. The candidate will work in the Global Enterprise Operations Center (GEOC). The GEOC provides first contact resolution for all SITE Enterprise Operations Tier 2/3 issues and remote SITE Customer Engagement issues not requiring touch maintenance while reporting resolution actions and operational impacts to the customer’s mission. Additionally, the GEOC performs 24x7x365 System Event Monitoring for Enterprise Applications, Systems, and Core Services to provide proactive management of these systems and ensure the highest possible availability.

Services performed from the GEOC include, but are not limited to, administration of Active Directory, Windows 2003/2008 server, Exchange 2010, Symantec Enterprise Vault, Quest, Print services, SQL, VM, SharePoint, HPSA OpsWare, Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM), Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and other IT services including UNIX, NetApp and Oracle administration.

 

Work Schedule is a rotating 12 hour shift, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Clearance Level: TS/SCI is MANDATORY. Willingness to deploy overseas for 6 months (if needed).

This position is for a person who requires little, if any, direct supervision and is able to perform on their own. This position is for a highly motivated individual who, as the position and project grows and increases, may assume a Team Leadership role

 

Job Requirements:

Perform all of the Senior Software Engineer duties and as a technical leader and manager for multiple tasks in design, implementation, and integration of software or independently performs exceptionally complex software development tasks. Ensures efficient delivery of contract capabilities using industry standards and repeatable processes. Mitigates risks, controls costs and schedule variance, and effectively manages large scale, integrated projects. Must be able to isolate and resolve complex software problems involving the application, the operating system, the communications infrastructure, or any combination thereof.

 

Job Requirements:

× If customer requires, must be able to travel CONUS/OCONUS, Deployment OCONUS could be up to 6 months (if needed)

 

Desired Skills:

× Willingness to deploy overseas for 6 months (if needed).

× Significant experience with HTML/XHTML and XML.

× Experience with various programming languages such as Java, C/C++, etc

× Experience with Java/JEE APIs (such as JMS) and JavaScript.

× Familiarity with open source products and tools such as Eclipse, Apache, Tomcat, and MySQL.

× Experience with Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) technologies.

× Knowledge of Windows XP, Linux, and Solaris operating environments.

× Familiarity with object-oriented design principles and UML modeling techniques.

× Ability to translate customer needs/requirements into software solutions that involve multiple interfaces and supporting data repositories.

× Desire to learn new hardware/software systems and technologies that are consistent with duties.

× Willingness to participate in training and project management functions as needed including the writing of, or contributing to, related documentation.

 

Required/ Desired Education & Certifications:

× BS or MS Degree in Computer Science/Math/EE/Physics preferred, however, 11+ Years relevant technical experience with HS, OR 7+ Years with AA, OR 5+ Years with BS, OR 2+ Years with MS.

× A+, Network+, Security+ or certifications in accordance with DOD 8570.01*]M.
