Quality Assurance - Web Testing

Title:  Quality Assurance - Web Testing
Location:  Chicago, IL
Duration:  6 Months +

Responsibilities:
*Responsible for developing and executing formal test plans to ensure the delivery of quality software applications. Involved in test planning, writing test cases/scripts, test case automation and test execution.
*Execute formal testing of applications to ensure timely delivery, quality, and satisfaction of customer requirements.
*Contribute to the creation and maintenance of structured testing methodologies and processes in a mainframe and object oriented environment.
*Develop test scripts and test data to determine compliance with business requirements.
*Lead overall testing efforts to control the test environments.
*Execute test plans.
*Address issues with the programmer and team leads to ensure satisfaction of the end user / customer and satisfaction.
*Escalate issues to the QA manager or PM if necessary. 
 

Requirements:
*Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field, or equivalent work experience in similar work environment.
*Minimum 3 years of IT work experience.
*Testing background and familiarity with test tools (TSO, File-Aid, capture/playback, Mercury Interactive)
