Job Title: Software Engineer (Windows Driver Developer)
Location: Seattle, WA (preferred) [Alternate loc: Santa Clara, CA]
Type: Contract ~ 8 to 12 mths (extendable)
Job role:  Wireless WAN (WWAN) modem driver development - I/O driver development

Key qualifying criteria:

• 3 to 5 years of driver design and development on x86 platform for Windows 7 and/or 8 using WDM (Windows Driver Model) and WDF (Windows Driver Foundation). [NOTE: Windows Driver Foundation (WDF) is a set of Microsoft tools that aid in the creation of device drivers for Windows 2000 and later versions of Windows].
• Windows communication device driver development expertise in following areas, on  Windows 7/8 Kernel DDK
• Emphasis on WWAN stacks and/or I/O driver development.
• Prior experience debugging of Windows kernel mode is a must, as is the understanding Windows internals. OS experience (any) Win 2000/XP, WinCE, Windows Mobile etc.
• Other skills (any) : Kernel Mode Driver Framework (KMDF) and/or User Mode Driver Framework (UMDF).

Desirables (any):

• Prior experience with protocol simulators for, e.g. – Wi-Fi, GPS, NFC,  Sensors.
  Good understanding of the ARM architecture will be a definite edge.
  Good understanding / exposure to technologies - GSM / CDMA / UMTS / EVDO / HSPA / LTE
• Experience with Windows Driver Kit (WDK) 8
