Job Description

Sierra-Cedar is seeking motivated and experienced Oracle SOA Senior Integration Architect Consultants. If you are passionate about the technology, the clients, and all the challenges that go with being a consultant, you will want to be a part of our team.  Our people have the skills and business savvy to provide exceptional consulting services to clients, helping them gain the optimum benefit and value from their Oracle investment. This position requires 100% travel with projects executed on-site at Sierra-Cedar client locations nationwide with a typical week of four 10-hour days.

RESPONSIBILITIES
•    Lead a team in the full development life-cycle from requirements through release to production
•    Create and utilize patterns and frameworks as part of an overall software architecture blueprint
•    Mentor others through project lifecycle on both technology and process
•    Participate and lead business and technical meetings
•    Provide timely status updates to project leadership
•    Identify and mitigate risks in process and technology
•    Produce and present architectural and development guidelines and best practices

REQUIRED SKILLS 
•    Experience designing and implementing enterprise-level integrations using Service-Oriented Architecture concepts including reusable services, canonical data objects, centralized exception-handling and monitoring, and proper use of Service Bus, Business Rules, and Business Process Execution Language (BPEL)
•    Well versed in Enterprise Architecture and Custom development as well as Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) utilizing J2EE and/or .NET architecture
•    Extensive experience utilizing Oracle SOA Suite 11g, Oracle Service Bus 11g, Web Services, WebLogic Server, and Oracle databases to architect and build robust integrations using best practices
•    Experience using Oracle BAM for real time monitoring
•    Knowledgeable on WS-* standards such as WS-Addressing, WS-Security, WS-I Basic Profile, WS-I Basic Security Profile etc.
•    Fluency in Web Services standards and technologies (e.g., XML, SOAP, WSDL, XSD, UDDI, etc.)
•    Knowledge of various integration design patterns
•    A minimum of 5 years hands-on experience with the entire software development lifecycle (requirements, design, implementation, integration, testing)
•    Ability to work closely with client business users and IT resources to understand business requirements and translate those requirements into a technology solution
•    Ability to communicate effectively with client architects and senior business leaders
•    Excellent written and verbal skills are essential
•    Experience with presenting to large audiences and to executives

DESIRED SKILLS 
•    Leadership in the design and implementation of a SOA solution with millions of transactions in a large enterprise with success
•    Ability to identify opportunities to further improve a solution at a customer site and upsell that as additional consulting work
•    Working experience with Oracle BPM Suite
•    Working experience with additional Oracle Fusion Middleware technology such as WebCenter, Identity Management, Application Development Framework, Content Management, or SOA Governance tools
•    Ability to break down and assess automated business processes to identify areas for improvement
•    Ability to train client users on technical skills required to be successful
