Senior Business Analystsneeded for 2, 12 month contracts in Louisville, KY!
In this role you will be responsible for collecting, documenting, analyzing, verifying and communicating requirements for approved IT projects to senior, consultant staff, manager, and project team members.
What You’ll be Doing:
Overseeing multiple, simultaneous projects for IT departments using the client’s standardized methodology.
Effectively managing time and resources to ensure that work is completed efficiently.
Researching and reviewing of the projects’ scope in order to understand why the project has been initiated.
Demonstrating a high level of working knowledge with IT methodologies and processes (i.e. Project Life Cycle, System Development Life Cycle and IT Change Management process).
Gathering detailed requirements that completely define the project.
Documenting and updating requirements; preparing and distributing RFPs and evaluating responses.
Creating high-level models and user cases to identify and validate business processes and solutions when appropriate.
Communicating requirements with minimal direction and guidance. Acting as the liaison between the business experts and the project team members.
Facilitating business/functional requirement review, approval, and sign-off sessions.
Successfully justifying recommendations and results with estimated/actual costs and benefits.
Preparing and delivering effective presentations to upper management.
Identifying solutions to the development and technical teams based on approved business and functional requirements.
Participating in technical requirements and design sessions.
Conducting and directing end-user testing responsibilities and tasks with minimal guidance from consultant staff, manager or project managers.
Verifying the technical solution meets the business requirements.
Responsible for maintaining the group Utility Desk as assigned by consultant staff and/or manager.
Administering communication activities with end-user training for system implementation.
What You Need:
Strong interpersonal and communications skills. (Must demonstrate exemplary leadership ability and ability to tolerate ambiguity.)
A proven knowledge and experience with computer systems, applications, development, and testing methodologies as they relate to the business areas being supported.
To be able to successfully lead project teams with medium to large business initiatives.
A proven working knowledge of industry standard methodologies and best practices (i.e. Project Life Cycle and System Development Life Cycle).
A proven knowledge and understanding of various types of system interfaces. Strongly prefer Healthcare HL7 interface experience.
Ability to work efficiently with external vendors and customers to ensure interface projects are delivered and implemented to the customers’ satisfaction.
Superior business knowledge of the area being supported.
To be highly skilled in incorporating successful interviewing, facilitation, and documentation techniques within a project.
Excellent facilitation skills in bringing multiple groups together to agree on project scope and build consensus.
A high-level of knowledge, experience and success with writing and reviewing test cases.
The ability to work independently with minimal direction and guidance from the project lead, consultant staff and manager.
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in project management and business analysis.
A minimum of 2 years’ Healthcare industry experience.
A minimum of 2 years’ experience with interfaces and system integration, preferably in Healthcare.
PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is preferred.
A proven working knowledge of current industry IT disciplines, methodologies and best practices (i.e., SDLC, SOX, HIPAA) is preferred.
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration and/or equivalent experience or certification is preferred.
A Business Analyst or Project Management Professional certification is preferred.
Healthcare Industry Experience, Project Management Experience, Business Analyst Experience
