Position: SYNCSORT DEVELOPER
Location: Charlotte, NC, USA
Duration: 3 – 6 Months Extendable
As a Senior Syncsort Developer you will work directly with the client (business and IT team) to understand the needs, requirements and then support development of Business Intelligence products around Syncsort and ensure that they fit the requirements specified. They should be ready to tackle the most demanding assignments, from departmental DW/BI engagements to enterprise-wide business solutions implemented by cross-functional teams.
Desired Skills & Experience
Mandatory: Strong knowledge of Syncsort, Big Data, Hadoop, Sort Acceleration
Preferred: Cable Industry knowledge
Job Duties (include but are not limited to):
Provide billable consulting support to achieve account objectives and production success. Services may include: product installation and implementation, enhancement, integration, or audit to meet customer business requirements
Perform information systems needs assessment, information gathering and recommend appropriate business systems and IT infrastructure for client on Syncsort, Big Data, Hadoop technologies.
Perform data modeling, application development, technical product assistance and tuning to meet customer performance and functional requirements
Specify business systems (inputs, outputs, data, human and automated interfaces) to meet information processing objectives for Microstrategy’s software platform.
Ability to handle End to End Syncsort/Big Data/Hadoop platform(set up, administer, develop and support)
Contribute to knowledge capital via project documentation and best practice solutions
Lead and Mentor off shore team
Participate in sales activities, when appropriate
Maintain and grow knowledge of BI functionality and technical skills
Bachelors or equivalent degree in a business, technical or related field is required
7-8 years Development/Consulting or IT Development/ Consulting Experience
Understanding of core Business Intelligence (BI)/data warehousing technology: RDBMS such as SQL Server, Oracle, Web, Client/ Server, and OLAP
Business Intelligence development experience and programming experience
Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and business requirements
Application knowledge of the following industries: Cable, Telecom
Proven analytical and problem solving skills
Experience with implementation methodologies
Strong communication skills, both written and oral; Ability to build and deliver presentations to all levels of the business and effectively explain complex issues and concepts in simple, understandable language
Ability to mentor and lead a team of consultants
Ability to work under minimal supervision
