CES: New Quad-Core Tablet from Acer
Acer announced their first quad-core tablet, the Iconia Tab A700 at a press conference in Las Vegas prior to the start of the Consumer Electronics Show. The tablet is powered by Nvidia's 1.3GHz Tegra 3 processor. In addition to being among the first quad-core tablets, A700 features an impressive 10.1 inches 1080p IPS display and comes loaded up with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. It's also thin, measuring just 9.8mm. The connectivity options of the tablet include Bluetooth, microSD card support, HDMI, Wi-Fi b/g/n, USB port, and 3.5 mm jack. On the back, it has a five-megapixel camera, and on the front, there is a 720p HD camera. According to Acer, Iconia Tab A700 will be released in Q2 of 2012.
