What's it take to be a stand-out geek nowadays? It used to be as simple as wearing a  pocket protector, but now you've got to bring out the big guns. Cue big guns. During our recent visit to Gnomedex in Seattle, we met some pretty fantastic people with some pretty fantastic stories. An obvious must have: internet connection before a toilet.  How else would you tweet it out once the toilet got installed.

Reading comic books is pretty cliche. How about drawing cartoons? How about drawing cartoons with charts and graphs?

We've all heard it: location, location, location.  Well according to Dave Mathews (no, not that Dave Matthews) it's proximity, proximity, proximity. Want to know what your computer is dreaming? Hopefully we learned from Skynet to keep an eye on that kind of stuff...

And if you don't have time to watch the rest on youtube.com/diceoutloud because you have to get back to programing your iPad to monitor the status of your keg, here's a mash-up to quench your thirst. Don't forget to submit your inner geek story on our Facebook page. It could win you an iPad, which you could in turn program to monitor the status of your keg. I dare you to do something cooler than that. -- Adam Fudala
