A Star Trek theme park is in the works, a $1.5 billion Star Trek theme park to be precise. Unfortunately for Trekkies in the U.S., getting there is going to be quite a...  trek. The theme park will be located in Jordan, with the tiny kingdom's King Abdullah one of the major financial backers. Investors from the States and the Gulf are also involved. The park contains “17 entertainment areas and 4 hotels on 184 acres of land.” In addition to Star Trek-themed entertainment, the park will offer a number of attractions based on Jordan's history.
