The only requirement is that you&#8217;re not allowed to actually do your job during that time. You must work on a brand new idea. Hackathons have famously brought about some of Facebook&#8217;s most popular features such as video, photos, and the &#8220;Like&#8221; button. During college events, Facebook recruiters host a hackathon on-campus.
