Job Details

Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Must-Haves (Non-Negotiable):
8+ years of professional software development experience.
Expert-level proficiency in Java for designing and developing applications.
Proven experience with deploying and maintaining software at scale.
Strong experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
Experience deploying software in a public cloud (AWS or Azure).
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Highly Desired Skills (Big Pluses):
Experience with AI tools.
Experience with message streaming (e.g., Kafka, AWS Kinesis, RabbitMQ).
Designing and building RESTful APIs (experience with Swagger, Postman).
Test-Driven Development (TDD) and related tools (e.g., Cucumber, Selenium).
Specific AWS services (API Gateway, Lambda, S3, CloudWatch, Aurora, DynamoDB).
Debugging and maintaining software in Linux/Unix environments.

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and deploy backend software services in Java.
Work independently on complex application/technical problem identification and resolution.
Drive application development focused on delivering business value.
Mentor and provide technical assistance to other software engineers.
Maintain high standards of software quality by establishing and following best practices.
Participate in an Agile/Scrum development framework.
Provide on-call support as needed for off-shift and weekend coverage.

Interview Process
3 rounds of interviews, each approximately 1 hour long.
Will include coding exercises and theoretical technical questions.
Rounds may be combined depending on scheduling.
