We are seeking a highly skilled Senior SAP S/4HANA Techno-Functional Consultant to act as a bridge between complex business processes and cutting-edge technical architecture. In this dual-expert role, you will be responsible for defining functional solutions while executing core technical deliverables using advanced ABAP and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) .
Key Responsibilities
Functional Analysis & Business Blueprinting
- Lead discovery workshops and fit-gap analysis using SAP Activate Methodology .
- Translate intricate business needs across modules into high-quality Functional Design Documents (FDD).
- Conduct standard process configuration mapping and evaluate cloud features against custom requirements.
- Define data migration strategies, cutover planning, and orchestrate User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Modern ABAP & S/4HANA Database Development
- Design and build enterprise applications using the ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP) and Cloud-ready Object-Oriented ABAP (OO-ABAP).
- Create high-performance data models directly on SAP HANA utilizing advanced Core Data Services (CDS) Views, AMDP (ABAP Managed Database Procedures), and Table Functions.
- Utilize modern ABAP Development Tools (ADT) in Eclipse or VS Code exclusively, phasing out legacy SE80 environments.
- Remediate custom code using ATC (ABAP Test Cockpit) checks and handle SPAU/SPDD post-conversion system activities.
SAP BTP & Cloud Integration Architecture
- Build custom decoupled business logic using SAP BTP ABAP Environment (Steampunk).
- Build end-to-end integration flows using the SAP Integration Suite (CPI) to connect S/4HANA with SaaS apps.
- Expose and consume secure, highly scalable APIs such as OData (v2/v4), REST/JSON, SOAP, and RFC endpoints.
- Secure integration endpoints using industry standard authorization frameworks like OAuth, SAML, and API Keys.
- Design automated process orchestration models via SAP Build Process Automation
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience: 8 to 12+ years of hands-on SAP delivery, featuring a minimum of 2 full-cycle S/4HANA implementations.
- Functional Competency: In-depth configuration and process knowledge in at least one key domain (e.g., Order-to-Cash (OTC), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Finance (FICO), or Service Management).
- Technical Stack: Advanced mastery of OO-ABAP, RAP, AMDP, CDS Views, and the Enhancement Framework (BAdIs/Exits).
- Cloud & Integration Toolkit: Solid engineering experience with SAP BTP services, SAP Integration Suite (CPI), and standard API architecture.
- UI/UX Exposure: Functional understanding of SAP Fiori Launchpad deployment and Fiori Elements/SAPUI5 configurations.
- Testing & Quality: Proven background using the ABAP Unit Testing framework to enforce regression protection.
Preferred Qualifications
- Official SAP Certifications in SAP S/4HANA ABAP Development, SAP Fiori, or SAP BTP Extension/Integration.
- Experience working inside live RISE with SAP private or public cloud environments.
- Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD pipelines on BTP, or AI tools via SAP AI Core.
