Zions Bancorporation is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer with strong Cloud Infrastructure and Security skills for an excellent opportunity within our Cloud Services team. Zions Bancorporation is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer with strong Cloud Infrastructure and Security skills for an excellent opportunity within our Cloud Services team. This Cloud Engineer will establish Google Cloud foundations while on-boarding native cloud services to meet infrastructure and project specifications and needs.
This Cloud Engineer will have the opportunity to:
- Contribute to the design and deployment of enterprise-wide scalable, highly available, secure, and reliable platforms and architecture on Google Cloud Platform full-stack.
- Collaborate across different areas within business and technology to create a clear and cohesive vision to drive future state Google Cloud Platform.
- Maintain awareness of industry trends and technologies, recommending timely adjustments to strategies as appropriate.
- Assist with the development of and management of security & governance processes to ensure that cloud deployments are secure while following industry best practices.
- Explore and integrate AI tools into workflows to enhance efficiency and drive innovation.
- Apply an Engineering Mindset: Approach problems with curiosity and critical thinking.
- Use data-driven methods to troubleshoot complex issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Design solutions that are scalable and maintainable, while continuously seeking opportunities for improvement and sharing insights with the team
Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience in cloud engineering, with a strong background in architecting and operating cloud environments at-scale.
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture, services, and security, with a proven track record of successful implementations.
- Expert-level understanding of Terraform and related automation tools; experience with Ansible and Git.
- Solid experience in DevSecOps, zero-touch automation, CI/CD Pipelines and shift-left security practices.
- Strong understanding of cloud networking, security principles, and compliance frameworks.
- Proficiency in Linux (RHEL) and strong programming skills for automation and tooling.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field. A combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.
