Job Description:

The Cloud Platform Experience team is responsible for developing and operating our SS&C cloud portal, which provides teams the ability to self-service infrastructure (compute, network, storage) for their application needs. We handle a variety of front-end, back-end, and operational tasks as we strive to provide full-service ownership for our applications and services.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building scalable, high-performance web applications in Angular. You will work closely with our product and design teams to create a seamless user experience for our SS&C cloud portal.

As a UI Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our web interface, ensuring it is user-friendly, responsive, and visually appealing. Your role will involve collaborating with back-end developers, UX/UI designers, and other stakeholders to deliver top-notch solutions that meet the needs of our users globally.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain the user interface of our enterprise cloud platform.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and back-end developers to deliver a cohesive user experience.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and design patterns.
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
• Implement automated testing to ensure the reliability and quality of the UI.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of experience in front-end development.
• Expertise with Angular 14+ and TypeScript.
• Experience in Java Spring Frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot, Spring JPA, Spring Security, etc)
• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience with responsive and adaptive design principles.
• Proficient in version control systems such as Git.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integrating front-end applications with back-end services.
• Solid understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Jasmine, Karma, or Protractor.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA.

Preferred Qualifications:

• General understanding of cloud architecture and containerization
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.
• Understanding of basic UX principles and best practices.
• Ability to write efficient, secure, and reusable code.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Passion for learning new technologies and improving skills.
• Desire to evangelize Developer Culture and lead change within the organization
• Desire to mentor junior developers
