Description
We are looking for a dedicated Systems Administrator to join our team in Houston, Texas, on a Contract to Permanent basis. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can manage and enhance technology solutions to meet business needs effectively. You will play a key role in implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting systems, networks, and hardware to ensure seamless operations.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with end users and business teams to assess technology requirements and recommend solutions.
Research, test, and implement new hardware and software technologies, including devices such as water monitoring systems and network solutions.
Design and develop network architectures tailored for community use, conducting proof-of-concept testing and vendor consultations.
Document business needs for new systems and software, ensuring smooth rollouts and migrations using relevant tools.
Write and execute scripts for system updates and software delivery, utilizing Powershell to automate processes.
Monitor network systems continuously to ensure optimal performance and security.
Provide support for local and wide area networks, including troubleshooting issues with routers, switches, and wireless systems.
Manage Active Directory, overseeing user accounts and computer objects.
Facilitate printer and hardware support at commercial leasing offices, coordinating with end users to determine requirements.
Evaluate emerging technologies to drive innovation and improve IT capabilities.
Requirements
Proficiency in Active Directory management and administration.
Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Windows 10.
Experience working with Dell and Citrix technologies.
Ability to design and implement network architectures and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
Skilled in scripting and automation using Powershell.
Familiarity with monitoring tools for network and system performance.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication abilities to interact with end users and vendors effectively.
