Big Data Engineer, Mid
The Challenge:

As a data engineer, you have the chance to develop and deploy the pipelines and platforms that make this data meaningful. We're looking for someone like you to work with our clients to meet their mission.

This is an opportunity to work on a cross-functional team of data scientists, data engineers, modelers, and web developers to implement data engineering activities on some of the most mission-driven projects in the aerospace industry. You'll have the chance to architect data systems, stand up data platforms, build out extract, transform, and load ( ETL ) pipelines, interface with data stores, and build data models. From sharing your skills in analytical exploration and examination of data, to supporting the assessment, design, building, and maintenance of scalable platforms, you'll work with our clients to solve their most pressing challenges.

You Have:
  • 1+ years of experience with cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
  • Experience with full data processing pipeline from ingestion, transformation, storage, analysis, and visualization
  • Experience with data platforms, including Databricks or the IBM Watson Data Platform
  • Ability to communicate data engineering issues and solutions to te chn ical and non-te chn ical audiences
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree


Nice If You Have:
  • 1+ years of experience with Big Data te chn ologies, including Hadoop, Spark, Hive, and Zeppelin
  • Experience with data science tools, including Python, R, or Jupyter
  • Knowledge of ETL tools, including NiFi, Dagster, and AirFlow
  • Ability to work independently and define project objectives and milestones

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $58,400.00 to $133,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
