Network Engineer
Travel is needed upto 50%
The Travel Network Engineer participates and/or leads network infrastructure assessments and site survey projects for the customer enterprise. The goal for this team is to physically install 6-8 Clinics and Medical Centers per month.
• The travel is estimated at the equivalent of about 50% per month per year.
• Expertise in network technologies such as local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), intranets, extranets, and other data communications networks including Software Defined Networks (SDN) and Quality of Service.
• Knowledge of Palo Alto Firewalls, Up Logix LM83(x), Cisco LAN 9500 and 9300s highly preferred
• Must be familiar with types of cabling, interfaces and accurate connectivity to other devices
• Ability to add IP addresses
• Must evaluate network design and configuration baselines and standards.
• Performs work that will include a variety of complex features and require multi- or interdisciplinary approaches.
• Examples of other activities include the following:
• Evaluate network performance reports and provide network consulting support
• Engineer / re-engineer network consistent with customer service level requirements and approved document (i.e. IPv6, multi-VRF, QOS, etc.)
• Plan logical addressing, redundancy, capacity (logical & physical).
• Provide technical information for, and final technical editing of, all documents and proposals
• Works at an enterprise level and in cross-functional teams to assist with the development of strategic and enterprise plans.
• Must have great, customer-focused, team-oriented communications and consultative skills, be highly accountable, be self-directed and productive with strong work ethic, be willing to show “presence” and availability on IM during business hours.
• MUST be able to pass background check, drug screening and onboarding process efficiently.
