Job Description

We are seeking a Oracle Cloud Financials Consultant with deep functional expertise in the Record to Report (R2R) process. The ideal candidate will lead Oracle Cloud Financials implementations, manage key client relationships, and provide strategic solutions across core financial modules. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting, financial reporting, and end-to-end R2R processes within Oracle Cloud

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the functional lead for Oracle Cloud Financials with a focus on Record to Report (R2R) processes.
  • Lead and manage full-cycle Oracle Cloud Financials implementations and enhancements.
  • Configure and support key modules such as General Ledger (GL), Fixed Assets (FA), Cash Management (CM), Subledger Accounting (SLA), Intercompany Accounting (ICA).
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and finance teams to define requirements, design solutions, and implement best practices.
  • Conduct fit-gap analysis, solution design workshops, and business process mapping.
  • Define and document functional specifications (FDs), configuration workbooks, and test scripts.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting and reconciliations.
  • Work with technical teams on data migration, integration, and reporting (BI Publisher, OTBI, Smart View).
  • Oversee UAT, coordinate end-user training, and provide post-go-live support.
  • Ensure system compliance with accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS) and organizational financial controls.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and provide leadership to junior consultants.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (P2P, O2C, I2C) to ensure seamless process integration.

Mandatory Skills

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Oracle Financials, including 4+ years in Oracle Cloud (Fusion).
  • Proven experience in at least three end-to-end Oracle Cloud Financials implementations.
  • Strong functional expertise in R2R modules GL, FA, CM, and SLA.
  • Excellent understanding of accounting principles, consolidations, and financial close processes.
  • Hands-on experience with FBDI, ADFDI data uploads, OTBI, BI Publisher reporting tools, financial reporting tools (FRS, Smart View).
  • Strong knowledge of multi-ledger, multi-currency, and multi-entity accounting setups.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve financial system and process issues effectively.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and client interaction skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to work well with offshore teams.

Academic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education plus relevant experience, in Computer Science / Accounting / Finance or equivalent.
