Overview

You'll build and maintain software tools that energize our business. You will be an advocate for quality, assisting with architecture and development, and driving best practices for Test Driven Development and continuous delivery via automated testing. You'll have a dedicated leader focused on your individual growth and development, and a tightly knit team of engineers with whom you will both give and receive mentoring and coaching.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and improve test automation standards and automation framework.
  • Create and maintain automated test scripts to validate the system at various phases of the software development lifecycle (e.g., integration test suite, regression test suite, smoke test suite, etc.).
  • Work collaboratively with quality assurance, software development, and product management to ensure the creation of quality products that meet customer needs.
  • Run test automation builds, analyze results, and report issues found.
  • Evaluate manual test cases to convert into automated test cases.
  • Maintain documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software.
  • Research solutions for scaling and improving performance.
  • Analyze test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action.


Qualifications
  • Knowledge of SDLC concepts.
  • Professional experience in writing and maintaining test automation using testing frameworks such as Jasmine/Jest, or applications such as Serenity, Selenium, Webdriver.IO.
  • Experience with Cypress-IO and/or Pact-IO a plus.
  • Professional experience with Object Oriented programming in languages like Java and JavaScript.
  • Experience designing, building, and testing microservices and RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with build management tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub, etc.).
  • Knowledgeable of DevOps CI/CD practices, tooling, and pipeline management.
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum software development.
  • Familiarity with standard bug reporting tools such as Jira or TestRail.
  • Familiar with test driven development (TDD) methodology.
  • Familiar with version control/configuration management systems and defect tracking software.
  • Self-starter with the strong ability to manage multiple tasks and project milestones is required.
  • Excellent knowledge of current software testing industry tools and standard methodologies.


Education & Experience
  • College degree or equivalent and 2+ years automation experience, including testing methodology and tool experience.


Preferred
  • Experience using Amazon Web Services and containers (Kubernetes, Docker) a plus.
  • Experience with designing and building web automation frameworks preferred.
