Job Description:
Role Overview
Responsible for designing, implementing, and managing secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud solutions on AWS. This role requires strong technical expertise and the ability to align cloud strategy with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Cloud Architecture & Design
- Design and deploy highly available, fault-tolerant, and scalable applications using AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, and CloudFront.
- Migration & Modernization
- Plan and execute the migration of multi-tier applications and legacy systems to AWS cloud environments.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Implement IaC using Terraform and AWS CloudFormation for automated resource provisioning and configuration management.
- Security & Compliance
- Apply AWS security best practices including IAM, encryption, VPC security groups, and ensure compliance with standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS.
- Cost Optimization
- Develop and apply cost-control strategies using AWS pricing models, resource monitoring, and cost-management tools.
- Collaboration & Leadership
- Work closely with DevOps and development teams to integrate cloud solutions.
- Mentor team members on AWS best practices and architectural guidelines.
- Monitoring & Disaster Recovery
- Set up monitoring, logging, backup, and disaster recovery strategies using CloudWatch and other observability tools.
Required Skills
- Deep hands-on knowledge of AWS Services: EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudFront, VPC, Route 53
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture principles, networking, and security
- Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, and CI/CD pipelines
- Expertise in microservices, serverless architecture, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Proficiency in automation scripting using Python or Bash
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer
- Experience in hybrid or multi-cloud environments
- Familiarity with observability & performance tuning tools
