Role: Senior FIS ACBS Developer / Consultant

Location: Chicago IL

 

Role Summary

Looking for a seasoned FIS ACBS (Advanced Commercial Banking System) professional to lead solution design, customization, and integration efforts across commercial lending platforms. The role involves working closely with business, technology, and operations teams to enhance ACBS capabilities and ensure seamless lending lifecycle processing.

 

Key Responsibilities

Lead design, configuration, and customization of ACBS modules (Loans, Facilities, Collateral, Risk & Limits, Syndications).

Manage end-to-end commercial loan lifecycle implementations, including origination, servicing, billing, and settlements.

Develop and enhance ACBS batch jobs, rules, tables, and processing workflows.

Work with FIS APIs, MQ, and integration layers for upstream/downstream systems (CRM, GL, treasury, data warehouse).

Perform data migration, conversion mapping, and reconciliation activities.

Troubleshoot production issues and provide L3 support and root-cause analysis.

Drive upgrade projects (e.g., ACBS 8.x to 9.x), patching, and regression testing.

Collaborate with business teams to gather requirements and translate into functional & technical specs.

Ensure compliance with regulatory, risk, and security controls.

Mentor junior team members and support delivery governance.

 

Required Skills

Strong hands-on FIS ACBS expertise (minimum 5+ years dedicated).

Deep knowledge of:

ACBS core modules (SPO, Syndications, Servicing, Accounting)

Tables, events, batch schedules, product setup

Technical proficiency in:

COBOL / Mainframe, JCL, DB2/SQL

Unix shell scripting

MQ / API integrations

Experience with ACBS reporting (standard + custom).

Solid understanding of commercial lending products (term loans, revolvers, agency, bilateral).

 

Preferred Skills

Experience with ACBS Front Office, AQR, or Lending portal.

Exposure to cloud migration and modernization initiatives.

Knowledge of Kafka, Informatica, MuleSoft, Oracle, or data transformation tools.

Prior work with banking domain: credit risk, loan accounting, regulatory reporting.

 

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or related field.
