Job Overview:
We are looking for a Technical Writer with an Associate's degree and 2 years of experience to support documentation needs across various technical teams. This role involves creating, editing, and maintaining clear and accurate technical documents, manuals, user guides, and process documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain technical documentation such as manuals, user guides, and standard operating procedures
- Work with engineers, developers, and subject matter experts to gather and verify information
- Translate complex technical information into simple, clear content for different audiences
- Review and edit existing documentation for accuracy, consistency, and formatting
- Organize content logically and ensure compliance with documentation standards
- Assist in creating diagrams, flowcharts, and other visuals to support written content
Requirements:
- Associate's Degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a technical writer or in a similar documentation role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and documentation tools (e.g., Adobe Acrobat, Google Docs)
- Strong attention to detail and grammar
- Ability to understand and explain technical concepts clearly
- Good communication and organizational skills
Nice to Have:
- Experience with content management systems or document repositories
- Basic understanding of IT, software, or engineering terminology
- Familiarity with formatting tools like Adobe FrameMaker or Markdown
