SAIC is seeking a Systems Engineer to fill a critical position on the LANDMARK AOS program, a large SETA contract supporting the customer's Ground Enterprise Directorate (GED). The successful applicant will exhibit flexibility in task execution, provide technical/professional expertise on a variety of Systems Engineering topics (e.g., schedule management, requirements, configuration management, readiness, verification and validation, etc.), and advise the government on program activities. The work will initially focus on schedule management and configuration management support to enable end-to-end closure for programs with available growth of scope and responsibility, and will be located in Chantilly, VA. All candidates must have an active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph.

Job Responsibilities:
On the Job Training will be provided in the customer's specific knowledge domain, but the successful candidate must be able to:
- Interact with Government project management and functional managers to define scope of work for projects, and develop and update detailed schedules
- Use Microsoft Project to organize, implement and maintain multiple schedules for the various program technical branches
- Integrate developer schedules to generate and maintain an accurate Organization-level master schedule
- Evaluate project schedule progress and performance, identify any variances, and highlight developing problem areas
- Analyze critical path and constraints to determine effect of changes to schedule and recommend work-around
- Use Government CM tools to store, track, and manage configuration items
- Coordinate project level impact analyses of proposed engineering changes
- Serve as an advisor to and facilitator of the Government's Engineering Control Board (ECB)
- Support agile process evolution across Government teams, development contractors, user engagement teams, and stakeholders
- Derive enterprise, system, functional, performance, and interface level requirements and work with the team to develop the corresponding documentation
Qualifications
Required qualifications:
- Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance with CI Polygraph
- Bachelor's Degree and five years of experience
- Ability to multi-task and willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, work complex issues, and meet deadlines
- Agile development experience or formal agile training
- Planning and scheduling experience
- Ability to prepare and present various types of reports to all levels of Management
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to apply organizational, planning, management, problem solving & execution skills to multiple projects simultaneously
- Demonstrated capability and success working in team environments
- Good working knowledge of MS Office applications
Desired qualifications:
- Experience providing systems engineering or project management support to software development and integration as part of a project management team
- Experience with developing & maintaining Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) using Microsoft Project
- Knowledge of agile software development methods (Scrum, SAFe)
- General knowledge of Intelligence Community organizations, missions, processes and systems
- PMI Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP), or equivalent
