Job Description
Seeking QA Analyst with excellent communication skills as they will be supporting clients. The company provides custom application development to it's clients across the US. Automation is not required but a bonus. Need someone who can go onsite 2x a week.and looking for local candidats to SOCAL.
JOB SUMMARY:
The primary focus of the QA Engineer will be to ensure timely and comprehensive testing of various applications, systems, and services. The role is responsible for applying industry best practices while executing various types of QA and testing activities including functional, automated and performance testing. The QA engineer must be an excellent communicator as they will interact with developers, managers, and client on issue tracking and resolution.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Review requirements to define test cases for complex software projects
* Develop strategic test plans and review with cross functional team members
* Define and develop automated test scripts
* Work with QA team to organize testing strategies and prioritize responsibilities
* Perform appropriate testing to discover and report software defects and triage defects
* Work with developers to troubleshoot software issues
* Works closely with development, product management, and technical support to ensure that the quality objectives of all projects are met within schedule constraints
* Provide testing metrics and reports for the QA dashboard to effectively communicate test status to the test team and management
* Log and track issues using in a defect tracking system
SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS:
* Self starter with strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Previous experience as QA Analyst for enterprise level applications
* Strong QA methodology & process experience
* Experience with structured test methodologies
* Experience with working in an Agile development environment
* Excellent verbal communication skills is a must
Bonus
* Test automation experience (Selenium a plus)
* Website development experience a plus
* Experience with Jira preferred
