Description
We are looking for a skilled Cyber Security Engineer to join our team on a long-term contract basis in New London, Connecticut. In this role, you will safeguard organizational systems and data by implementing, managing, and optimizing robust security solutions. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring the reliability and protection of network infrastructure and cloud environments.
Responsibilities:
Design, deploy, and maintain advanced firewall technologies, including Checkpoint and Cisco ASA, to secure network systems.
Implement and manage cloud-based security solutions to protect sensitive data and applications.
Perform regular audits and assessments to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with security standards.
Configure and optimize security tools and protocols to enhance system protection.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address cybersecurity challenges and develop effective strategies.
Conduct AB testing to evaluate the performance of security measures and recommend improvements.
Monitor and analyze security logs and incidents, providing timely responses to threats.
Utilize AWS technologies to secure cloud environments and maintain the integrity of hosted systems.
Manage configuration settings to ensure secure and consistent system operations.
Stay informed about emerging cybersecurity trends and technologies, integrating them into existing frameworks.
Requirements
Proven experience working with Checkpoint and Cisco ASA firewall technologies.
Strong knowledge of Cisco systems and associated technologies.
Hands-on expertise in cloud security and AWS technologies.
Familiarity with conducting audits and assessments to identify security risks.
Proficiency in configuration management and maintaining secure system environments.
Ability to perform AB testing and analyze results for security optimization.
Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to respond effectively to security incidents.
