Job Details

As a Business Applications Support Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our insurance agency management systems, encompassing an array of essential tools such as AMS360, WorkSmart, BenefitPoint, and Salesforce. Your responsibilities extend beyond user support to collaborating with our Operations department on various tasks and projects, contributing to the overall success of our organization.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:
  • Comprehensive End-User Support: Providing expert assistance and guidance to end-users of our agency management systems to ensure optimal utilization.
  • Problem-Solving Expertise: Leveraging your strong problem-solving skills to swiftly identify, prioritize, diagnose, and resolve user issues, ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations.
  • Efficient Communication: Responding to user inquiries and requests through multiple channels, including the ServiceNow helpdesk tool, phone, and email, while maintaining excellent communication standards.
  • Vendor Collaboration: Coordinating support from external vendors when necessary, ensuring timely resolution of complex technical issues and fostering positive vendor relationships.
  • Access Management: Managing and provisioning system access for end-users, safeguarding data integrity and security.
  • Workflow and Procedure Assistance: Assisting end-users in understanding and optimizing organizational workflows and procedures, enhancing operational efficiency.
  • Document Creation: Collaborating in the development and maintenance of procedural documents, contributing to the knowledge base of the team.
  • Versatile Support: Undertaking additional operational functions and duties as assigned by adapting to evolving organizational needs.


Requirements and Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications and qualities:
  • Education: A college degree is preferred, though relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • Technology Proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency in computer skills, especially the Microsoft M365 suite, to effectively navigate and support various software applications.
  • Vertafore Experience: Prior experience using Vertafore applications is highly desirable, as it directly pertains to our system environment.
  • ServiceNow Familiarity: Familiarity with ServiceNow is a plus, enabling efficient request tracking and resolution.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to facilitate clear and concise interactions with end-users and team members.
  • Critical Thinking: Strong critical thinking skills, allowing for systematic issue analysis and creative problem-solving.
  • Self-Motivation: Self-motivated individuals who can thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple tasks effectively.
  • Customer-Centric Attitude: Exceptional customer service skills, including active listening, patience, and genuine concern for client issues, ensuring a positive user experience.

At Risk Strategies Company, base pay is one part of our total compensation package, which also includes a comprehensive suite of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, disability, life, and retirement savings, The total compensation for a position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. The expected base pay range for this position is between $58,000.00 - $70,000.00. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including geographical location, education, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
