Role Overview:
The JD Edwards (JDE) WorldSoft Developer will provide production support, development, and enhancements for JD Edwards WorldSoft applications with a strong focus on Order Management System (OMS) functionality.
This role requires hands-on expertise in IBM i (AS400), SQL400, RPGLE, and JDE WorldSoft 7.3, ensuring system stability, performance, and scalability within a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide production support for JDE applications, resolving issues as per SLAs.
Perform root cause analysis, implement permanent fixes, and maintain detailed SOPs and documentation.
Manage on-call support, alert monitoring, and incident escalation for production environments.
Analyze functional and architectural design documents to determine development requirements.
Design and develop technical solutions, including flowcharts, diagrams, and pseudo code.
Develop and modify code for maintenance, enhancements, and bug fixes.
Create and execute unit test plans, perform debugging, and ensure alignment with specifications.
Participate and lead in project meetings, code reviews, and test plan walk-throughs.
Provide technical design documentation and accurate effort estimations.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
Track and manage defects, provide proactive task and project status updates.
Technical Skills (Must Have):
JD Edwards WorldSoft 7.3 Advanced knowledge and customization.
Order Management System (OMS) Deep functional understanding.
IBM i (iSeries / AS400) Strong hands-on experience.
Programming Languages: RPGLE, SQLRPGLE, CLLE.
Database Skills: Advanced SQL on AS400 / SQL400.
Development Tools: IWS, SQL400.
Additional / Nice-to-Have Skills:
Experience using ServiceNow (Help Desk Support).
Familiarity with Clarity (Project Management & Time Reporting).
Working knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, JIRA, Iterative).
Experience with Waterfall and SDLC methodologies.
Proactive communication and coordination skills within distributed teams.
