# Platform Engineering Lead

To ensure prompt and effective responses to security vulnerabilities and to provide enterprise visibility into security risk posture, CVS Heath is building a Security Automation and Integration team as part of its Security Engineering group.

The Platform engineering lead is responsible for providing robust and reliable security integration software designs and seeing them through to implementation in a collaborative, cross-functional environment. This is a hands-on engineering position that also involves mentoring less-senior engineers and managing technical relationships with other teams and external vendors. Development of proofs of concepts, evaluation of potential solutions and designing testing and deployment tools is also within the scope of this position.

Responsibilities:
  • Designing, developing, testing and maintaining security automation and integration platform interfaces.
  • Negotiating API definitions and validating API performance with internal and external partners.
  • Validating performance and scalability of internal and external systems related to security integration and automation.
  • Collaborating to define and document end-to-end security engine architecture.
  • Assisting with problem determination and resolution for security engine and security automation capabilities
  • Lead a team of contingent / contract resources.

Required qualifications:
  • 7+ years of distributed systems engineering experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering and/or API development
  • 3+ years of experience with Python, Unix, and SQL

Preferred qualifications:
  • Prior experience working on security and / or compliance-related software.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of big data technologies including Apache Spark, Apache Nifi, Apache Kafka or equivalents.

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (High School Diploma and 4 years relevant experience).

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$118,450.00 - $236,900.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
