In anticipation of an award, Tantus Technologies, Inc. (Tantus) - recognized by the Washington Post as a Top Workplace - is seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead an IT operations and maintenance team for a scientific focused federal agency. You will support the customer's OCIO by managing a team of between 50+ IT support personnel responsible for maintaining, operating, and sustaining infrastructure, networks, servers, and COTS hardware / software, security operations, and the Tier II and III service desk for a large Windows and Mac user base. This will be a key role within a dynamic enterprise IT environment consisting of data-centers, AWS cloud-based environment, client-server and virtual architectures, virtual and OnPrem physical servers.
**Must be a United States Citizen and eligible to obtain a Public Trust.**
What You'll Do
- Manage project team responsible for planning, monitoring, sustaining, and optimizing virtual and cloud systems located both Off-Premise and On-Premise.
- Responsible for driving the strategic, financial, and technical approach and providing expert technical guidance to solve problems for the customer in all related areas of responsibility.
- Provide quality assurance and review of contract deliverables, service levels, and IT service management.
- Manage team leads and staff to ensure that all requirements are met and exceeded.
- Provide project management, leadership, and guidance for team of technicians who are responsible for provisioning, building, and configuring servers as well as ensure systems are compliant with the enterprise architecture policies, standards, and protocols.
- Additional responsibilities include communicating effectively both orally and written with customers, stakeholders, and technical specialists; effectively lead detailed technical discussions.
Must Haves
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
- B.S. Computer Science/MIS or related field of study. Relevant certifications and/or years of experience may be used in lieu of degree.
- Project Management Professional Certification
- IT Information Library (ITIL) Foundations Certification
- Experience managing a large team of technicians responsible for operating and maintaining customer's enterprise IT environment, which consists of data-centers, AWS cloud solutions, shared service platforms, network systems, and other hardware / software infrastructure components.
- Must have experience interfacing / communicating and collaborating directly with customer stakeholders, managers, and task leads.
- Must be able to provide leadership, oversight, structure, and overall guidance to team leads, supervisors, and staff.
- Must have experience managing technical projects requiring weekly status reporting, contract deliverables, and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Must have experience with federal contracts compliance and managing subcontractors
- Must be a United States citizen and be able to obtain a Government Agency Suitability Clearance.
