Job Description:
GDIT seeks a Network Infrastructure Manager for our federal client in their Infrastructure team.
As a Network Manager, you will be part of a program that provides support for federal clients in D.C. for their Networking, telecommunication, and firewall technologies. The team supports engineering and operational tasks and performs real-time monitoring, proactive maintenance, incident detection and response, problem resolution, and network and firewall performance reporting across nationwide enterprise. This hybrid position offers a combination of remote work and periodic on-site support and customer meetings.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
Provide technical guidance for directing and monitoring information systems operations.
Plan, organize, and direct the Network Operations Team to ensure the stable operation of CBP's network infrastructure.
Responsible for maintaining, supporting, and optimizing key functional areas, particularly network and firewall infrastructure, and telecommunications systems.
Responsible for managing and setting priorities for the monitoring and maintenance of network systems, including LANs, WANs, Internet, intranet, and wireless.
Responsible for managing and setting priorities for the Network Management team.
Ensure effective monitoring and response to hardware, software, and network problems.
Coordinate and manage the routine testing and analysis of all elements of the network and firewalls
Schedule and direct activities to resolve hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Bachelor's degree in related technical field such as Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Networking and Telecommunications
Experience: 10+ years of related experience
Relevant certifications such as ITIL v4 required
Other certifications CCNA, CCNP or CCIE
Working knowledge of networking concepts, infrastructure, and equipment (e.g. routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers).
Experience implementing and administering an enterprise-wide monitoring system for servers, networking devices, and applications.
Showcase leadership abilities by managing projects and teams.
Be proficient in project management and have knowledge of security and compliance issues.

The likely salary range for this position is $144,410 - $195,378. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
