Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring for System Administrator with an active Secret clearance to manage and maintain Red Hat Linux servers, as well as deploy, troubleshoot, and automate Linux virtual machines across various platforms. This position will be located in Fairfax, VA and will be a fully onsite position.

Responsibilities

Provides administration and tier 3 operational support for servers, workstations, and applications in a Windows Active Directory environment, including user account management, Group Policy troubleshooting, and security infrastructure maintenance. Responsibilities include server and backup administration, SCCM and McAfee ePO management, and supporting large-scale deployments and migrations. Develops technical solutions, maintains documentation, and ensures compliance with organizational standards for security and system performance.

  • In-depth knowledge and thorough understanding of cloud computing services, that includes knowing networking, servers, databases, and software in Cloud
  • Hands-on experience with PowerShell and Office 365
  • Expertise PowerShell, Azure CLI, or ARM templates for deployments, updates, and maintenance tasks
  • Running virtual machines on cloud
  • Creating and managing data backups
  • Ensuring compliances
  • Configuring archival storage
  • Experience using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights
  • Familiar with Azure Policy and RBAC
  • Maintaining and implementing storage solutions
  • Securing Azure solutions
  • Thorough knowledge of networking tasks along with expertise in Azure networking stack
  • Reducing vulnerabilities in Azure


Qualifications

  • High School with 10+ years system administration experience (or commensurate experience)
  • Clearance Required: Active Secret with ability to obtain and hold DEA suitability

Posted Pay Range

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity.
