The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Senior Site Reliability DevOps Specialist to join the team in Seattle, WA; Hazelwood, MO; Mesa, AZ; North Charleston, SC; El Segundo, CA; or Plano, TX.

As we execute on our Infrastructure and Operations 'cloud' strategy, we are looking for an experienced Site Reliability DevOps Specialist to join our rapidly growing global Cloud Technical/Development team.

As a member of the team, you will be laser-focused on the design, reliability, and scalability of the Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) Cloud environment, ensuring our customers have an always-available experience while maintaining an eye towards cost, efficiency, and security.

Position Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain a resilient, secure, and efficient cloud-hosted platform to meet established Service Level Agreements (SLAs) while supporting the rollout of new software releases and maintenance updates
• Work with technology from leading cloud providers like Google Cloud Platform, understanding and utilizing their unique native services in deployments
• Utilize Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) for the design, deployment, and management of secure and compliant enterprise servers, network infrastructure, and cloud architectures
• Engage with highly collaborative cross-functional globally distributed teams on troubleshooting issues, providing insights for automation, and influencing architectural decisions
• Coordinate with Cloud and Engineering team members, and other stakeholders to build, monitor, and maintain a secure cloud-hosted infrastructure via automation in both production and non-production environments
• Configure and tune cloud-based tools, manage cost, security, and compliance of the Boeing Cloud
• Design, build, and maintain environment-specific alerts and dashboards via analytics tools such as Google Cloud Monitoring
• Monitor and resolve site stability and performance issues, including incident management and post-mortem analysis
• Maintain documentation for systems, processes, and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and compliance

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• 10+ years of experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and orchestration/automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and GitLab, specifically in Google Cloud Platform environments
• 5+ years of experience developing software products in a cloud computing environment, with a strong focus on Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform)
• 3+ years of experience designing cloud architectures on Google Cloud Platform, including multi-cloud strategies and microservices architecture
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform networking concepts, including VPCs, subnets, firewalls, load balancers, and VPNs
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform security best practices, including Identity and Access Management (IAM), encryption, and compliance frameworks
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform monitoring and logging tools, such as Google Cloud Operations Suite and Google Security Command Center, for monitoring system performance, security and health
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go for automating tasks within Google Cloud Platform
• Experience with disaster recovery strategies and backup solutions specific to Google Cloud Platform environments

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Experience in Azure and/or Amazon Web Services (AWS) to complement Google Cloud Platform expertise
• Experience with collaboration and project management tools including Jira, Confluence, or Slack to facilitate communication in a distributed team
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform managed database services, such as Cloud SQL, Firestore, or Bigtable, and understanding of database design and optimization
• Experience developing, designing, and supporting Kubernetes as a Service-based solution
• Experience and commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with the latest Google Cloud Platform technologies and best practices

Summary pay range: $164,900 - $239,200
