Job Description:

Position Overview:

The QA Analyst will support software testing and quality assurance activities for an application in production. This role involves manual testing and monitoring software releases to ensure quality standards are met before deployment.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform manual application software testing and quality assurance activities.
  • Advise the project manager on the status of releases based on the results of testing performed.
  • Create and modify test materials for systems and programs, and document test procedures.
  • Develop and execute test cases, scripts, plans, and procedures to support testing under various development methodologies.
  • Collaborate with team members in a shared environment, assisting with training and knowledge sharing.
  • Analyze problems logically to define facts, establish root causes, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Work closely with project teams to ensure test coverage and provide feedback on software quality.
  • Ensure thorough documentation of test results and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in creating and modifying test materials for systems and programs and documenting test procedures.
  • 5+ years of experience in developing and executing test cases, scripts, plans, and procedures for testing under various development methodologies.
  • 5+ years of experience working in a team environment, with strong communication skills, and assisting in training other team members.
  • 3+ years of experience in applying logic and reasoning to identify problems, define facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • 2+ years of experience with JIRA for issue tracking and project management.
  • 2+ years of experience working with relational databases and creating SQL scripts.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

  • 1+ year of experience performing code reviews.
  • 1+ year of experience with the JAMA Product Delivery Platform.
  • 1+ year of experience in testing applications within a Texas state agency.
  • 1+ year of experience working with Broadcom Agile Requirements Designer.
  • 1+ year of experience working with Broadcom Test Data Manager.
