We are seeking a Senior Professional Services Engineer with strong hands-on expertise

will deliver Splunk-based solutions, support complex deployments, and act as a trusted
technical advisor for our enterprise clients.

This position is ideal for someone who excels in hands-on technical work, enjoys solving
challenging customer problems, and can mentor junior engineers, without needing to carry full
practice ownership or broad organizational leadership responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:
Technical Delivery

Implement, configure, and optimize Splunk Enterprise or Splunk Cloud
environments for customers.
Support Splunk integrations, data onboarding, app/add-on deployment, and
performance tuning.
Conduct troubleshooting and root cause analysis for ingestion, search,
performance, and architecture issues.
Prepare technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, runbooks, and
deployment guides.

Customer Engagement
Lead technical discovery sessions to understand requirements and design
appropriate Splunk solutions.
Communicate technical concepts clearly to customer stakeholders, both technical
and non-technical.
Provide hands-on assistance during deployment, migration, consolidation, and
upgrade projects.
Deliver knowledge-transfer workshops or walkthroughs to guide customers on best
practices.
Internal Collaboration & Mentorship
Collaborate closely with project managers and solution architects to ensure
successful project delivery.
Provide guidance and informal mentorship to junior engineers on Splunk best
practices and troubleshooting techniques.
Help create and maintain internal knowledge articles, templates, and repeatable
delivery assets.
Qualifications:
Required

4 7 years of experience in IT operations, security, observability, or data platforms.
3+ years of hands-on experience with Splunk Enterprise or Splunk Cloud in a
delivery, consulting, or operational role.
Strong understanding of Splunk components, architecture, data ingestion, search
processing, and performance tuning.
Experience in onboarding diverse data sources and working with Splunk apps and
add-ons.
Solid troubleshooting skills for distributed systems, data pipelines, and
search/query issues.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with customer-facing experience.

Preferred
Splunk certifications (Admin, Architect, Power User, ES/ITSI familiarity).
Experience with security or observability use cases in Splunk.
Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
Basic scripting or automation experience (Python, Bash, PowerShell, Ansible,
Terraform).

Success Measures
High-quality, on-time delivery of Splunk projects.
Strong customer satisfaction scores and positive client feedback.
Reduction in escalations through effective troubleshooting and communication.
Growing capability and knowledge sharing within the PS engineering team.
