Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Database Manager to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of system administration experience, with a strong background in managing and optimizing SQL databases. As a Database Manager at our client's organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of their database systems. This positiom is onsite in Kendall, FL.

Key Responsibilities:

Database Management:

Install, configure, and maintain SQL database systems.
Monitor database performance, implement changes, and apply new patches and versions when required.
Ensure the availability and consistent performance of various corporate applications.
Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO):

Optimize database performance by analyzing and tuning SQL queries and database parameters.
Identify and resolve database performance issues, including server resource usage, indexing, and query execution plans.
Backup and Recovery:

Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
Perform regular backups and ensure that recovery procedures are tested and effective.
Security Management:

Implement and maintain database security, including user access control and data encryption.
Conduct regular security audits to identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities.
Data Integration:

Work closely with development and business teams to design and implement data integration solutions.
Ensure seamless data flow between various systems and applications.
Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations, processes, and procedures.
Generate regular reports on database performance, utilization, and health.
Support and Troubleshooting:

Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to resolve database-related issues.
Collaborate with other IT team members to ensure smooth operation of all IT systems.
Managerial and Technical Resource:

Act as manager and technical resource for all aspects of Data Integrity, Reporting, and Mobility across the enterprise.
Continually recommend, develop, and implement data-driven solutions.
Integration Management:

Create and maintain integration points between Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains 2018 and MTS iTraycer using custom SQL stored procedures, ETL, and DTS (SmartConnect) software.
Manage integrations of peripheral hardware & software to enhance existing backend ERP System, Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains.


ERP System Enhancement:

Assist to oversee Company's databases to implement workplace efficiencies, build out measurables, enhance profitability, productivity, and efficiency throughout the company.
Track and report improvements and work with all departments to ensure functionality of GP as it applies to each department's needs.
Requirements:

5-10 years of experience with MS Dynamics GP.
Experience with core Financial and Distribution modules.
3-5 years of experience with SQL Server (SSRS, SSIS, and/or SSAS).
Experience working with multiple ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, Business Central, Sage, AX, etc.
Experience with Binary Stream MEM.
Experience with Third-Party Bolt-On's, including but not limited to:
Electronical sales order processing
Inventory movement
Credit Card Integrations
Experience with Project Management.
